How to open a .rar file?
Never even heard of this before. I see I need to download something to open it before I can access it, but would appreciate recommendations.

Any suggestions?

Thanks. :)

1. Win Rar

available here http://www.rarlab.com/

If the rar file consists of several icons, you just double click on the first one and follow the wizard to extract files.

On edit: There are some older versions, free I presume at Old Version. http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=winrar

3. Damn right it does!
I've just tried it. Used 7zip for years and have never thought to open a .rar file with it.

5. There is a great program out there.
It's free and handles all sorts of archiving formats automagically. It's called IZarc. I put it on every machine I build. It kicks WinZip's butt without getting out of bed.
