We have any CSS wizards here? I need a hand right now.
I am dealing with a Joomla Template, all css, no HTML, called "Gomu Project" by http://gavick.com . I have the css edited to just about where I want it, except for one while element that just won't go the hell away. I cannot seem to find it in the css files and I must admit, I feel more than a little trepedation about getting in too deep and borking something irreparably. So if you can give me a hand here, chime in. I am under something of a time crunch here.

We can work it out about how we will deal with this in PM.

1. Have you used the Web Developer Toolbar addon for Firefox?
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/60

It's chockablock with features - here are a couple that might help:

CSS --> Edit CSS - displays all stylesheets in a tabbed interface and allows you to make temporary edits and see the effects in real time. Changes can be saved if you choose.

Information --> Display Element Information - puts a border outline around the element under the cursor. A popup that displays class names, ID, attributes, ancestors, children, etc is updated as you click on the elements.

Between the two, it might be easier to find and fix the element(s) giving you grief.

3. Thanks to both of you.
I gave it a try, and I am sure it would be helpful on most templates, but this guy who made the template for is something of an all CSS template genius and he has things embedded within embeddings. I finally got his attention, thank all the deities! Go look at http:wellzher.com to see how things are progressing. It ain't time to go live and I still have lots to do, but I passed a big hurdle today.

Many thanks.

6. Ah yeah, the cascade
A blessing and bane, for sure. It's great the CSS guy is cool enough to help you out, big props to him.

(I don't know if it's intentional, but just in case -- the Application menu item under Customer Service --> Jobs lacks a background color)

Not a "Wizard" by any means, but I may be able to help.

5. It's up...
And the problem has been fixed through the kind counsel of the template author. And I learned something today. ;-)

http://www.csszengarden.com/

On the right you will find various examples of what CSS can do with the same HTML. A place I go for inspiration.

http://www.mycssmenu.com/

Great way to generate CSS menus quickly and easily tweaked.

http://www.cssplay.co.uk/menus/pro_drop13.html

Another great CSS site, especially with menus.
