I have a new piece of audio equipment. Supposed to be able to record from tape to CD-R. Followed the directions and nothing on the CD.
Do you have to initial a CD before you begin to record?

playing the tape and recording the CD, there will need to be a digital file made and stored temporarily. I'd start looking at the options, tools and settings for this.

You have to have a disk that is 1-whatever speed you buy. Not just 52x or 48x, it has to be 1-52x or 1-48x. Hope this helps.
