Extremely annoying FireFox problems
Google maps never show the maps and Google images never show the pictures. I have 3.0.10. It hasn't worked in a long time. I hate having to go into IE just to look at the Images page or to see a map. What can be the problem?

1. Tools > Options > Content > Load Images Automatically
See if that checkbox is checked; also, look under the "Exceptions" and see if Google is listed as a site whose images are blocked.

2. Checked, but not an exception
I added it under exceptions as Allow, but still no change. Even after restart.

4. It was AdBlock!!!
Thanks for the link! I disabled AdBlock and the images appeared. So then I right-clicked on Adblock in the status bar and found *google* at the top of the list. I deleted the entry, re-enabled Adblock, and now it works. I see images and maps in google. Thanks!

5. Thanks for telling me what the problem was: I use FireFox with AdBlock, and this may be good to know
if I ever have problems

6. Point of order:
No Script has really turned into a huge pain in the ass and I have uninstalled it. Not only did its author, Giorgio Maone, write into it routines to block the functionality of AdBlock Plus, but it has also started locing up Firefox and my machine. I don't know what Mr. Maone thinks he's doing, but he has pretty well nerfed what was once an essential Firefox add-on.
