Reformatting a hard drive with Linux installed |
|
What's the procedure to wipe a Linux distro off my harddrive? I think I've messed up my installation and want to do a clean update with the latest version of this distro (PCLinuxOS2009).
Thanks.

1. Use the partition manager included with the new distro |

Reboot with the 2009 disc in the drive. The option to format partitions or the whole HD should come up during the install.

2. Thanks....I did that and the new 2009 version is up and running. |

I'm liking how fast this distro loads and how well integrated everything is. After much reading on the 'net, I've finally gotten my wireless card to work with ndiswrapper....hooray! This really makes the laptop functional again - XP was really straining the resources.
