R.I.P. my old HP 6L finally bit the dust.

None of the spare parts I have laying around will resurrect it.

I bought it used for $20 eight years ago. I don't know how many thousands of pages on all sorts of paper I printed on it. One of the best laser printers around-nothing fancy but rock solid. It wasn't the fastest printer but it would print all day long. From the days when HP made a driver that wasn't full of bloatware.

I guess I'll have to look around and see who has the best price on a basic laser printer. I still have my Samsung color laser and my Epson 3 in 1 inkjet

1. I was lost when my HP 4L bit the dust a while back.

Just as a suggestion, I found the HP P1006 to be a good replacement. It does a good job for a B&W LaserJet.

You can do a lot better than their suggested retail if you watch the sales at Staples, Office Depot and

New Egg and the like.

2. Ended up with a Samsung ML-2510

$59.99 at Officemax and when I went to set it up saw that it had a parallel port so I didn't even have to change cables. I have a Samsung color laser that's been working fine for about 4 years now.
