Is there any way to add a graphic equalizer to windows vista. I would like to have more control when I open the volume icon.

1. Your sound device manufacturer |
|
is responsible for supplying that. If you use generic windows sound drivers then it will not be available.

3. Yes but is the driver a Microsoft version or |
|
Realtek. I would suggest you use the manufacturer driver. You can get it right from Realtek. I did and it works peachy. Has the eq also and other un-needed crap.
