Question about Java updates in Firefox |
|
Recently started seeing a lot of permutations of Java Console showing up in my FF downloads. The version is 6.0.X...I've gpt 18 different versions of X (1-18)? Anyone know3 why Java would require this many updates in a relatively short period of time?

1. I was wondering the same thing with Sun company going away this week, I think |
|
it may be just wrapping up finished projects while it can, and hand over works in progress to the new owners. Just speculation on my part. RIP Sun, a good company.

2. Whoa....I missed that Sun was going away. |

Must. Do. Research.
You can remove anything older than 6.18. It doesn't remove older versions of itself very well when you upgrade to a new version. Just get rid of all the old ones.
