Anyone with experience with SpywareDoctor?

I had a tracking virus leak in that even set up an icon in my system tray. I did a google search and found the stop run program and was encouraged to use SpywareDoctor to remove the program entirely.
The tracker even appeared in my list of add-ons in mozilla.
Afterward found my system in the mud and turned off all functions of Spyware to get back to speed.
I am running windows security at the same time. Is this the problem?
