What do I need to know about SKype?

Not interested in signing onto it, but I'm hearing that people can access my computer's optical eye through some programs. All they have to do is click my name.

I happen to have a piece of tape over the eye, but can they hear sound?

1. Haven't used Skype for a while

so things may have changed. I'd say the safest approach would be to make sure it doesn't start up automatically when you boot the computer. Use msconfig to disable auto start.
