Using Office 2003 with the Win7 OS
I'm getting a new office box soon. It will probably have Win7 OS which is fine...I actually like it better than XP. I've been using Office 2003 and I've never had any issues with Outlook. What I like about Outlook is I can drag my e-mails directly into folders outside of Outlook. I've got about 8 years worth of archived mail which I'd prefer to port over to my new PC. I handle 25k+ e-mails a year and it just works. Here's my questions-

(1) If i reinstall the Office program, will it run on WIN7?
(2) I assume I'll need to get the service packs - is MS still supporting this or should I retrieve from my existing XP installation? if the latter....where would I find the files and how does one go about reinstalling them on a new system?

if there any any links to websites that discuss this, please let me know.

Also, I'm playing around with the Windows Live e-mail program....I'm not sure if it will read the outlook.pst and archive.pst files - any DUers with insight on this?

1. Office 2003 works with Win 7
I have it on laptop. You can download service packs here: http://www.softwarepatch.com/office/index.html

Tip: Don't click on the link to 'Run a free scan....', it takes you to a paid site. The Software Patch is a good source of updates and patches as long as you are not tempted to click that link.
