How can I remove all add-ons from Internet Explorer?
Over time I've gotten about a million add-ons. I have about half of them disabled because of a security problem awhile back. I switched to Mozilla Firefox, but I'm thinking it would be best to just start over with IE, insofar as add-ons are concerned, in case I ever want to use it for anything.

Internet Explorer Version 8.0, Windows Vista Ultimate Service Pack 2.

1. Why not just stay with Firefox?
There are plenty of add-ons and plug-ins available for Firefox. I.E. offers nothing that Firefox doesn't offer.
My 2 cents..

3. One thing is, I can read an XPS document with IE
Can't do that with Firefox. I plan to stay with Firefox as my primary browser. But the thing is, I just want to clean up IE.

I'll try it later.

Another idea I've had is to uninstall IE and then reinstall it.

5. That may not be a good idea.
Uninstalling IE8 can lead to some major problems.
