Have new computer.Wanted to install Malwarebytes. No longer free?
MajorGeeks shows it as shareware at $24.95. What happened to the free version?
New Laptop has Vista. Confusing as heck. Prefer my old (and still running) desktop.
Run Firefox on that, do I dare change this machine to FireFox?

Bought a new cordless mouse, cannot get the hang of this square finger pad.

3. Thanks, deed done. BTW, this system is Windows 7 not
Vista. Boy, working on a laptop sure is different. I wonder if it will help my spelling?

Still would like to switch to FireFox. I just found that I cannot change to Outlook Express. I do not like Outlook. Maybe when I get used to this thing.
Much to learn.

4. Win7 has an integrated e-mail client called LiveMail
It's a lot like Outlook Express...but you can also use it to manage other mail accounts, like Hotmail, Gmail, etc. I like my Outlook 2003, so I don't use it.

Pretty easy to switch to Firefox...just download it from Mozilla: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/ I think that's what Internet Explorer's primary function is.

I use an extension in Firefox called United States English Spellchecker - when you type a word spelled wrong, it will underline it in red. Right clicking on the word will bring up a box of suggested word(s)with the correct spelling. Click on the correctly spelled word and it replaces the word in your document.

5. One nice thing about Win7 is the taskbar functionality
Instead of putting icons on your desktop, you can anchor them to your taskbar. Simply rightclick an application and select "Pin to Taskbar" The icon or folder will now appear at the bottom of the screen, keeping the desktop from getting cluttered with shortcuts.
