online videos
no sound and most just play for about 3 seconds and then stop. Dell windows vista and IE 8 now have IE 9 do you think I need to redo my flash player?

youtube and hulu videos play for me, some others don't. Are you having trouble with all online videos?

3. no sound on youtube
and hulu did not load the video. Also I see that my daughter has ooVoo do you think that could be negating the sound. I have checked and tested the speakers and they work with games from DVD's that I use.

When you click on volume, it shows not muted and the slider is not at the bottom?

Also at least on youtube they have a volume control also on their screen.

Either one muted or at zero sound will shut off the sound.

7. Are you running Realtec HD audio manager?
If so, try changing you speaker environmental settings to something other than 'none'.
