Some one got into my EMail and sent out 20 emails from my

Hotmail Account.

I want to close that account out and open another.

Trouble is, I have a lot of saved EMails in there that I need to keep.

also, how do I get my contacts out.

1. Here's an easier idea, from someone who has had my Gmail account hacked:

I would use a super hard password this time, as in: x83Vw2PqHb39Q..... you get the idea. Do not save it anywhere on your hard drive or even on a portable flash drive. Write it down and keep it in your desk or somewhere safe.

Yes, it's theoretically possible your account could be hacked again but unlikely if you use the two steps I gave you.

Is that account now blocked by your contacts and their ISP's ? If so... we'll try something else.

2. I figured out how to get the contacts out...

I changed the password. I have had the same password because it was a strong password for years. found a new strong password. I want to keep the account. Is that possible?

3. You should be able to keep the account, yes.

If you have any doubts, I'd write the Hotmail people. Gmail did nothing after I was hacked.

An address spoofing worm. Not much you can do except wait until the idiot with the virus/worm realises their machine is infected.
