What mail-order house has the best current deal on a MoBo bundle?
I have always built my own and now that this one is about three years old I'm ready for a new one. I would like to stay with ATX and I don't think I need an Athlon 64. I have a decent ATI video card but on-board video would be OK if it was included. I have looked at NewEgg and TigerDirect. Any others? Thanks in advance.

1. Try..
pricewatch.com
nextag.com
pricegrabber.com
froogle.com

once you have found some good prices, check your vendors with:

resellerratings.com

BTW If you find something you like, at a reasonable price, from NewEgg get it. Even if it's a bit more expensive, it's worth it. They do not gouge on shipping and they have a liberal return policy for most items.

3. Agreed on all counts ...

Special agreement for the mention of resellerratings.com. This allows real-world feedback, and while some of the responses are obviously from loons or just individual people who had a bad experience, you can read through the responses and pick up trends in the problems. "Never answers the phone" or the more generic "bad customer service" tend to be quite common among the really low-cost retailers.

I've found a few "deals" that are cheaper from other vendors than NewEgg, but the fine print on those deals could have caused a nightmare. When you're dealing with motherboards and processors especially, it is worth it to pay just a bit more for a better expectation of customer service.

2. I'm in the market too and Monarch Computers
seems to have some pretty good MoBo bundles.

Right now I'm looking at the DFI LanParty UT SLI with an Athlon 3700+ San Diego core and 2GB of Cas 2 Corsair RAM.

You might want to repost in the HardOCP or Anandtech forums for a more comprehensive response... they tend to be populated by over-clockers and serious PC gear-heads.
