My computer fixed it's self over night, how'd it do that?
Hal was working fine when I left it to cook dinner. When I returned it had shut down and I could not get it to come back. This is what came on the screen when I tried to restart it

I sass.exe Unable to locate component

Well this morning I tried turning it on, not expecting it to work but it's up and running fine now.

Did it just need more time to find it? How does Hal look for it when he's not turned on?

More important do you think that component will get lost again?

Thanks
SLaD

but WHAT'S THAT?

OK just read about it. Until I get someone to help me should I just shut off the computer and not use it? Will I be able to re start it again to fix it?

3. read this ...
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.sasser.removal.tool.html

it might be worth downloading and running this tool to ensure that you aren't infected with the sasser worm ...

4. Thanks welshTerrier2
Very kind of you to offer help. It seems it is not a sasser worm. It is a problem with

SignOn:aim.exe unable to locate component

Waiting patiently for my son to fix

Thanks again

5. there's a place down in Mexico ...
where a man can fly over mountains and hills ...
don't need an airplane or some kind of engine
and never will ...

is that where your username comes from?? ... i love that song ... Hypnotized by Fleetwood Mac ... i listen to it often ... i think it was derivative from the Carlos Castenada books ...

and i love your beautiful fox terrier too ... i used to own one ... well, let's be honest ... she owned me ... remarkable dogs, fox terriers ... welsh terriers too ...

The song does reference UFOs. Now things get a little strange, in a conversation I had with someone the other day out of the blue he posted a picture of a black German Shephard that he owned, I had a beautiful 10 year old black shephard that was taken without my knowledge and put down. My Fox was given to me two years later.

THE MOST INCREDIBLE DOG IN THE WORLD but what a job with the HAIR!

BTW That's a kennel club picture but Shy is just as beautiful.
