what happened to my status bar?

I just noticed the damn thing has dissappeared...you know, the little green bar that runs from left to right at the bottom of the screen on Windows XP?
Any body know how to get it back?

If it is still gone, move your mouse to the bottom of the screen. Did it pop up? If so, right-click it and choose properties > Taskbar tab > and look at your settings for autohide and keep on top of other windows.

Restart your pc. If the problem is still there go to View > Status bar - check it.
