LCD Monitor Problem
I have an older KDS 15" LCD monitor. Most of the time I turn it on and turn on the PC get a blank white screen on the monitor. I have to turn the monitor off and on anywhere from once to 5 or 6 times to get it to work. The same thing happens when the PC has been in standby and I turn it back on. I have checked the video cable to make sure it is tight. I use the same laptop with a Dell monitor at work and it never does this so it must be the monitor.

Has anyone had any experience with KDS monitors?

1. I would Take Your Monitor To Work,...
and connect it another computer. It may be that your KDS and laptop just don't get along together.

2. I have an older laptop at home. It does the same thing.
Nice thought. However, I have an older Dell Latitude at home and it does the same thing. That is where I first noticed it.

3. At This Point I Would...
find my receipt and call KDS. Most of their stuff carries a 1-year replacement and 3-year parts warranty. If it's within the 3-year portion of the warranty, they will probably charge you $30 up front to repair the unit.

Give them a call. They are pretty easy to deal with. The only thing I have encountered with them is, sometimes they don't get your unit back to you right away and they don't know why when you call them on it.
