Anyone have a system they want to sell, preferebly cheap
I've screwed this one up but good, the best thing I can see is just getting a newer one, my efforts to upgrade have blown up in my face. I'm going to try to limp into September with this, when i'll be able to go to the surplus exchange and get something else, but, if anyone has something just sitting around and would trust me for a few payments p.m. me. Maybe we can get something worked out.

1. I take it the new hard drive install didn't go smoothly.
Where are you at with that anyway?

2. To quote from Up in Smoke
Totally lost due to incompetence.
This mb is too old to support the new drive, after days of fumbling around, I've managed to almost kill this computer. I've messed up the drive that's in it, and it was sheer luck that I got it booted up again. I'm throwing in the towel, in spite of my good intentions, this is just not what I envisioned, had I not been so damn cheap and in a hurry I should have taken it to someone who does this for a living.
Which is my next step, when I get this replaced it's off to the computer repair shop, my days of amateur computer tech are over.

3. What do you want
in a computer. If you want one for game playing they're a lot more expensive. If you're just using it for surfing, word processing, email, some music and dvd watching, one that will do all that is relatively cheap. A basic computer can be had for under $300 easy.

4. Bestbuy has E-Machine desktop pkg for 299.99 after 330.00 rebate
Here's the link http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp;jsessionid=JD1PU2OST0BZNKC4D3HVAGI?type=category&id=cat01173

I paid 5,000.00 in 95 and got royally burned. Now, I buy Emachines for 300.00 and get a new one when it goes. They have upgrades on these pkgs so you can get a cheap system and upgrade to where you want. The only thing is expires tomorrow night (Sat.).
