My comp's DVD drive is making horribly loud noises...

Had computer and it for.. maybe 2-3 years. Just in the last month or so, most discs in the DVD drive when spinning make a really really loud noise.. (I haven't actually tried any dvds, just cds) it sounds just like vibrating mostly, it quiets a bit if I push against the front of the drive. It's only speeds are 32x and 48x. I slowed it down to 32 but it's still just as loud. There is a CD-RW in the slot right below it, going up to 52x (though I slowed it as well to reduce spin-up time), and it is nearly silent. The DVD drive is a Samsung SD-816B. Looking on their site, they include in the description "Reduces noise and vibration with DVA(Dynamic Vibration Absorber)". Could this possibly have been broken, thus the noise? Is that something repairable? (by me or professionally - I'm comfortable on the inside of the comp, but not if it actually means taking the drive apart)
