Why can't people R-click on my site when they use IE?

With firefox, they can right-click and copy, but with IE they are unable to. Why is this? (It is using Drupal CMS.)

I just realized what you meant. People using IE can't highlight text to be copied and then right-click to copy it. FWIW, you can CTRL-A to select the entire page and copy that, but this isn't really a solution to the problem.

My short answer is I have no idea. I stopped using IE so long ago that I've forgotten most of the work-arounds for quirks like this. My pure guess is this is some sort of "security" feature in IE that prevents you from copying and pasting text rendered in a certain way ... supposedly to protect copyrights or some such thing.

I know that's not helpful, but I'd already responded with confusion since you can actually right-click and get a menu. Since I couldn't delete the message, I just thought I'd ramble. :-) Sorry.

2. That looks like a css problem

IE is getting confused and doesn't know where to render stuff. To tell you the truth, I'm not sure without spending some time with your code but something is up. IE 6 in Windows. Firefox renders it just fine.

3. here's my best guess ...

i went to your registration page ... i found (in IE), that some of the text could be selected ... for example, the words "Account Information" iirc ...

other text on the same page could not be selected (using the mouse) (Note: "select all" seems to work off the "edit" menu) ...

i noticed that the words "Account Information" were wrapped in a "<legend>" tag while other words were usually contained in a "<p>" tag and also within a "<div>" tag ...

i'm wondering whether the "highlight" capability is an attribute of the various tags or classes you used and whether this attribute is enabled or disabled ...

as an above poster suggested, i would look at the attribute selections in your CSS file to see if there's something you're using on either the tag or the class that prevents "highlighting" ... btw, i would not necessarily assume that IE is the culprit here ... it's always possible that Firefox doesn't even read this attribute ...

i'm just guessing with the above ideas but that's what i would look at as a next step ...

please let us know what solves the problem ...
