leaving laptop in trunk in 95 degree heat - is it a problem?
If I have to leave my laptop in the trunk, and it is to be 95 degrees tomorrow and car will be in the sun - is this a problem?

what about other electronics?

2. ok - now I am confused a little - I also posted in du lounge
since I did not know how long it would be before and answer here

and most of them are against it

I am thinking yes the trunk gets warm but if you put it away from the back where the metal is - then it is deep in the trunk

the trunk is like this from the side
___________________ this is the roof
l-------l
l l back of car
l l
Back seat l l
----------------------

inside the l's is the trunk - it runs from the roof down to the bumper
the backseat is the front of the trunk

3. I'm pretty good.
I've done a lot of tech support and owned a lot of portables.
I would prefer under a cover on the floor in the back seat area.
But modern machines can tolerate a good deal of heat while off.
The main thing is not in the direct sun.

Personally, I never leave them, they stay with me.

4. oops my picture didn't hold
the inside of the car has windows and the sun shifting - I am thinking it could shift to shine in

the trunk are is about 2 feet high and about 3 feet from back of car to seat

there is a cover for trunk area - that I could take off

I can see the floor too -

wonder which really gets less heat

5. That would depend on how you parked it, too.
The machine should have come with specs for high and low temperature on and off, that would be your guide. I'm not necessarily opposed to the trunk, the whole car will get hot if it sits in direct sunlight. When I use the floor in the back I point it south, if you see.
