I've replaced the power supply and battery already. Dell tells me I need a new motherboard and this PC isn't worth a $500+ repair job.
Do you think it could be something besides the motherboard? If not is there somewhere reputable I could get a reasonably priced motherboard?

1. I don't think you can easily replace laptop MBs |
|
I might be wrong, but I think they're pretty specific to the manufacturer. How old is the laptop? Might be time for a new one, anyway.

2. It's only 4 months out of warranty |
|
It seems to be a common affliction. I found a place on ebay that will fix it for $125. They have 100% feedback rating. It's my daughter's laptop so she will just be stuck using the desktop for a while if it totally dies.

3. You Should Be Able To Get Them To Honor... |

the warranty anyway. You have to suggest it to them first and keep on them about it.
