Question on running spyware detectors on PCs with multiple user accounts

On a PC running XP home edition with multiple user accounts, if you run Ad Aware or Spybot Search and Destroy from an account with administrator privelidges, should it find all the instances of spyware for all the different user accounts on the system, or do you have to run the spyware detection tool from each user account individually?

1. It should. But individual mileage can always vary.

Trust me on this one. I clean spyware for a living.

It will get about 99% from an admin account but some of the nasty little things can latch on to just one account so it is best to scan from every account once you get everything cleaned from the admin account.

That's actually what I have been doing on my own home computer, but someone was telling me that it wasn't really necessary. I thought it would be best to see if other experienced users had a contrary opinion.
