Defrag.
How much? Having just reformatted I have defragged several times after updates, program installs etc.
So the question is how often do you defrag? I use Diskeeper and can set it to defrag per my request. Before my reformat I was defragging daily...set it for the middle of the night and forget out it.

1. Really no need to defrag
so frequently.

It won't hurt but it isn't necessary unless you have downloaded or deleted a lot of files or made major changes to your directory structures by installing or deleting new software.

That's when the order of files on the disk gets untidy and fragmented and needs re-sorting.

About once a month should do.

2. Thanks julianer......
I have defragged several tiems since reformatting. INstalling software, updates etc.
I'll probably do it bi-weekly.
