Is there anything anyone can recommend? I am running Win XP Home with 512 MB RAM. 1.6gHz

They don't do spit. You'll just use more RAM running one more program.

FreeRam XP Pro. I've really seen an improvement and my system is slower than yours.
And it's free so if you don't like it, no loss.
