Any recommendations for free (or inexpensive)online sites that enable one to convert Word files to pdf?

1. another question.........

obviously I'm completely ignorant about computer stuff....sorry.....:eyes:

I was just about to try a seemingly free online service to convert a Word file to pdf, and it said the file can't be more than 2 MB.

So, my next question is: how can I condense a Word file?

It's currently 4 MB.

I've googled these questions but I trust you people here to provide recommendations based on experience.....:)

6. Dump Word

Download and install OpenOffice. It's free, does everything microshaft Office does and lets you export as PDF

I might install OpenOffice just for the converter. But dump Office all together? Peoples hatred of MS knows no bounds.

At the point I want to play certain games, that is whenever I want to shoot Nazis, pretend I'm a Jedi, or fight the minions of Hell, I momentarily stop hating MS long enough to do so. :-)

9. Yes, dump MS Office altogether

OpenOffice is much easier to use and can read and save files in MS format.

I'll keep that in mind....I've had such computer nightmares that making any changes right now freaks me out.

11. Cutepdf

You can download cutepdf for free and install it and the ghostscript files you need and then you can create a pdf just by printing.

I use this one a lot. It will not create table of contents or anything fancy but otherwise works flawlessly.
