This probably is a common problem but I've been unable to find the answer anywhere. When right clicking on files, and opening them, there typically is a delay of about 7 seconds. This doesn't happen with folders or executables. I believe this may have something to do with context menu handlers. I've read that I can go through all the context menu handlers in the registry and delete the one that look suspect, but I have no idea what to keep or delete. Once I did this and it worked, but another time it screwed up the computer to the point that reimporting the reg file didn't get it back to normal. I also tried a number of other solutions such as disabling network resources, and I tried a program called ShellExView which also did not help. It's really frustrating having to put up with these delays. Any ideas?
