Streamripper stream recording software for Winamp 5.0

i recently installed streamRipper to record streaming internet radio stations ... two questions:

1. the installation added an icon to my system tray to run the recorder ... is there any way i can load the plug-in so that i can invoke it directly from the Winamp menus instead of from the system tray icon?

2. one great feature of streamRipper is that it writes each song to disk as an individual file ... it does a pretty good job writing out the artist's name followed by a hyphen and then the name of the song ... the only problem i'm having though, is that when there are multiple artists, it truncates the file name at the ampersand ... so, for example, Crosby Stills Nash & Young - Ohio.mp3 gets written as: Crosby Stills Nash.mp3 ... the mp3 suffix is written to the file name at the point of truncation ... this causes the last artist and the song name to be missing ... there's not a setting i could find in the software to fix this ...

any ideas ???
