Related story: Shortly after installing it, I somehow managed to tech the SPAM filter in Thunderbird that e-mail sent to me from one of my other e-mail addresses was SPAM, and since I send stuff to myself from work a lot, this became rather obnoxious until I figured out what was happening.

5. yes, thunderbird blocks email from yourself by default

just add yourself to the "not spam" list

4. Put your address in your own address box or safe list

so that your computer will recognize it and not filter it as spam.
