not computer, exactly - a dvd question |
|
kid one has a cheap toshiba dvd/vcr combo player. Kid two has sony playstation 2. Most of the time if kid one plays a movie dvd on the combo machine first then it won't play on the playstation. If they play it on the playstation first it works fine in the combo machine, but if they try to play it again on the playstation it won't work.
It just says reading disk but it doesn't play.
Occasionally it still plays but not usually.
Anybody have any idea what is going on?

1. Not really. The only thing that comes to mind is dirt. |

Neither of these devices is supposed to be able to change the disk at all. Have you tried cleaning both devices? These being kids, clean them several times, like twenty. Then take a good look at the disks and see if they need to be cleaned too.

I posted this in the lounge too and it kind of came down to the combo machine might be just a little out of alignment and maybe sctatching the discs very lightly....It is kind of wierd though.
