I saw the prettiest little grey kitty this morning, I don't know if she
(or he) was completely feral, but she was definitely afraid of people. She was on the bridge crossing the canal in front of my apartments eyeing pigeons hungrily . . . then she walked across the bridge and into the parking lot.

I've never seen her before, but I'm going to start keeping an eye out, winter is approaching and I'd hate to see her stuck out in that nastiness. If I can find where she's hanging out and hiding, I can have one of the people I know that does rescue come get her, until then all I can do is keep an eye out.

She was all grey with a white spot on her nose and didn't look underfed, so she's either got a good source of food or she's one heck of a huntress :).

I just feel sorry for her being out there in the elements.

1. Yeah, I worry about critters in bad weather too...
I wish I could take them all in, but I guess I am doing the best I can by fostering so the shelter has room for as many as they can handle.

2. Like I say, I've never seen her out there before, so I'll just have to
keep an eye out and see if I spot her again.

3. I always carry a few cans of kitty food in my car...
I would stick some in my car tonight and if you see her again perhaps you can find a relatively sheltered spot and leave her the can of food (I always try to get pretty far off the road and under a bush or something, and careful not to get so close that I spook her and send her flying a half-mile away!) Keep us posted, ok? Poor little thing.

4. So far I've only seen her the one time. I've been keeping an eye out.
I look every morning and evening, but haven't seen her again.

I hope she's okay.
