Ok, so my dog's "special Christmas toy" |

lasted a whole 24 hours. It was a plush floppy eared dog and I think a small part of his dog-brain thought it was real. He started just sniffing and licking but by half-way through the second ball game yesterday he'd managed to tear it beyond repair. So "Daddy" had to put it in a "special place" (the trash can), 'cause once pieces come loose they start to get swallowed. Now he's crying for Mommie's bears on the mantle. Sad thing was, it looked like the toy dog that Willie got for his birthday in "My Dog Skip."

1. If it lasted a whole day you're really lucky. |

The stuffed toys our dogs get usually last about five minutes. Any arms, legs, etc are immediately removed and if they can feel the squeaker inside the toy they open it and perform an squeakerectomy.
We still buy them every once in a while because they do like them. We just don't expect them to be around long.

2. All four paws had squeakers |
|
If Raven had gotten to them he'd have had a squeaky tummy.
