Our rescue group update

It's been a while since I've posted about our rescue group. We've been busy and have found homes for over 140 animals since September of last year. Unfortunately, we've also come into possession of a number of heartworm positive dogs of late. Two, Astrid and Tiger (not yet on the website) just finished their treatment and recuperation and two more, Coco and AJ, are due to be treated next week. We also have a brand new momma kitty and another surrender who is due any day.

We've decided to post the photos of the heartworm positive animals on the website even though they cannot be adopted for about two months in the hope that people will see how beautiful and precious they are and might be induced to put their animals on heartworm. It's disheartening the number of potential adopters we've had to turn down because their animals are not on heartworm meds.

We've also changed the look of our website and I think it looks great, if I do say so myself.
