I got my new baby!!!
Her name is Lulu and she's a beagle, approximately 2 years old. She was due to be put to sleep at the shelter was at before she was brought to the shelter that I found her in this morning. She's a real sweetie. :loveya:

Here are a few pics of her playing with my girl Juney.

5. It makes me so happy when I hear that someone
rescued a dog from death row at a shelter. Good luck with Lulu. She looks like a real sweetie.

6. Cool Doggies!
I have 2 Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Is your other baby a ridgeless Ridgeback?

15. That's June :)
She's mixed breed so her ridge doesn't stay up all the time... but boy when she's scared or on alert it REALLY stands up. Sometimes when she's playing, too.

8. Awwwww!
I love Beagles and it might even be in the blood as "Beagle" is my mother's maiden name. We had a Beagle when I was a teenager. She was a runaway, my parents found her while out to dinner one night brought her home and though we advertised to see if anyone had lost her, both my brother and I adored her so much on sight that we hoped no one would call (and no one did).

Because of her wayward ways, we named her Gypsy, and she was the sweetiest dog I ever knew! She was a tri-colored Beagle and I believe what they call "Bench Leg" (a big taller than some, like yours)

9. Congrats!
you are a special person for chosing to rescue a dog and a beagle was a great choice. I have one and I love the little critters but I sure wish they weren't such escape artists. Mine can squeeze through a 3 inch gap in the fence and he has been known to climb my 5 foot fence! And no he's not in a pen - I have 1/2 acre fenced (he just wants to chase bunnies)

16. Hahaha!
Funny you said that. We've never had one before so we didn't know what to expect. Hubby was calling her 'the excape artist' yesterday! :P

10. Cute beagle! I can't believe how much June looks like
our dog. We suspect part chow. The coloring and body shape is the same as June's but Max's tail is bushy and his ears are a bit shorter. I'll try to figure out how to post a picture of him.:)

17. Cool!
Yep, we think June is mostly rhodesian ridgeback and part chow (she has a spotted tongue, curly tail, triangle ears).

13. That's a heartwarming story!
I'm so glad you found each other! :) She is darling. :D

I wish all animals could find loving homes and not have to be put to sleep at any shelters. :(

14. Awwww, you're both lucky :).
She's lucky you were on the prowl for a new puppy, and you're lucky to find such a cutie.

What an interesting contrast she makes with Juney :)
