have a chuckle...
Last night we were watching a movie -- in one scene there there horsemen riding through the country side with a pack of greyhounds

the greyhounds on the movie were barking

suddenly our foster greyhound and our very own greyhound jumped up and and started barking and racing around the house looking for the "movie greyhounds"

took us about a 1/2 hour to convince them that it was "only a movie"...

lol

here are some pics of our dogs: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=243x2876

p.s. the grande dame of the house - our 19 year old cat will sit by the TV when we are watching basketball and bat at the ball -- I think she wants to get points for an assist...

1. Do they only react to other greys on the TV?
My girl pays no attention to other dogs barking on TV, but when its a greyhound, she's totally at attention.

2. Well, Sunday night
we started to watch the dog agility competition on Animal Planet -- and at one point there were border collies and terriers barking

we had the same reaction from our foster greyhound - barking and running around the house looking for those dogs..

Our very own greyhound, Sunny, only seems to react to other greyhounds barking -- be it in real life or on TV

3. Our dogs react to barking dogs on TV and
also to sirens, and doorbells. They run to the front door and bark whenever they hear a doorbell on TV.
