Do you celebrate your pets' birthdays? I do
Yesterday, my Bowler (cairn terrier) turned 7 so in his honor we grilled steaks. My son put a piece of steak on the edge of the table daring Bowler to try and get it. He did and I got this priceless pic.

And here's a pic of him after his meal - doesn't he look happy?

We celebrate their birthdays on the days they joined our family.

3. Yes! Just celebrated
Murphy's 2nd birthday last week. He was a shelter puppy and about 8 weeks old when we brought him home. So I just went back 8 weeks from the day we brought him home to figure out when to celebrate his birthday.

I give all my dogs a big marrow bone to gnaw on for their birthday and also a new toy.

Bowler is really cute!

5. Ditto
I was going to say absolutely too. March 14 - he'll be eleven this year. He gets presents. (Since we spoil him so rotten the rest of the year, a special dinner isn't necessary. ;-))

8. Well Einstein is 16 1/2
and the days of 'special dinners' are limited due to his age and pre-diabetic. I want him to stay around for a lot more years and that means denying him foods that are not so great for him

6. Cute picture, HB to Bowler!

We try to honor them in some way, making a fuss, singing. They usually get a small piece of organic chicken or beef to chow on, (although the younger one is picky and won't eat table scraps, probably better for him, but hey at least it's organic, right?)

My oldest cat has the same birthday as my high school sweetheart 11/22(therefore unforgettable!) the Daemon was listed as 6 wks. old when we rescued him from the SPCA, therefore, we just counted back 42 days for his, which so happened to be 5/12 the birthday of another good friend!

7. Happy belated birthday Bowler!
Boris and Natasha will be turning 3 on June 6th. I've never done it before, but I'm seriously considering having a big bash. All my friends love them and besides, they're always looking for any excuse for a party. ;-) It will also sort of be a marker of sorts as their previous owner had them for 18 months and around June, I will have had them for 18 months.

 :bounce:
