She delivered her first kitten four hours ago and just delivered her second kitten. :bounce:

Onyx is taking her role of "big sister" seriously. She's playing with the babies and will definitely teach them how to play :)

Sorry, no pics yet. Ruby hasn't done with her kitties.

2. Update: Ruby has three kittens
and it looks as if she's done. Two girls and a boy, at first glance. I even have names for them: Ruby II, Max, and Elsie.

4. Congratulations
You're a cat Grandma! Don't forget the pics! Those kitties have a lot of competition trying to be as cute as Onyx.

11. I'm keeping Max
Xena and Elsie will be put up for adoption when they're at least 6 weeks old. If any DUer in the Philly area is interested in adopting a DU kitten, just PM me and I'll reserve one or both of the girls. I'll give you the details in a PM.

16. Very cute babies
Are you sure Max is a boy? Looks like a three color to me, usually a female so maybe Maxine. I could be wrong, but that's my take. At any rate as precious as can be.

Daddy must have had a lot of white.

17. I hope Max is short for Maxine
because "he" looks like a calico and calicoes are all girls.

Mum is a beautiful tiger kitty. I hope she's indecently proud of herself. She's produced three little beauties.

18. Max is short for Maximillion
Edited on Fri Mar-07-08 08:11 AM by StopThePendulum
He is a rare boy calico. I'll call him Maximillion because he's one in a million. :)
He'll never be a daddy; that's how come I'm keeping him. He needs Ruby's guidance past the time he should get a new home.

Why are male calico cats rare?

21. Wow, that's impressive
and I think the XXY combination is even rarer than that.

He's a gorgeous money kitty, then. Just think, you won't have to get him neutered, either, although he and Ruby might be happier if you do.

22. Ruby is actually a torbie-and-white
She is mostly brown tabby, but has orange patches on either cheek and on parts of her belly (where there is no white).
