Well, I guess I have another cat

This tom cat has been in the neighborhood and I've been feeding him. He is a sweet-natured tuxedo cat and the neighbor's little girl loves him. He always comes to greet me when I come home from work.

The little girl came to my door last night. She said a woman was going to have him taken to the pound. So in he goes. Good as gold he was in the den all night. Happy this morning, no desire to go out at all. I'll get some pictures tonight. I named him Guy Noir after the Prarie Home Companion character. He's got some war wounds on his head. He will go to the vet to get these looked at. Next week is nueter time.

6. Sorry no pictures yet

I took Guy to the vet last night to get shots and tests and deworming so he's safe to be around my other cats. He got a clean bill of health as well as a rabies shot. I have some salve to treat his head wound.

Already he is trying to play with the other kitties through the door. And Pad Thai was allowed in the den with him briefly this morning without howling.

9. I don't know about either of these scenarios

I think Scorpio is all my family can handle at the moment. Angelia can come and visit her Oreo here but I don't think her Mom can take on another dependant at this time.

On the other hand, as Pad Thai has grown older Charley is fat and needs exercise with a cat of a similar age. So I'm hoping that these boys will bond. :)

10. Your title reminds me of getting my second cat

I was quite happy with my one cat, but a little stray kitten showed up and I took it in. I wanted to find another home for it. When I got only one offer that didn't work out, I called the SPCA which told me there was a good chance the kitty might be euthanized because they were so inundated with kittens, so I kept her and I had a 2 cat household. My first cat just passed away this past Tuesday (I euthanized her after finding out she had cancer in her intestine and in her liver). So second kitty is all I have now. I really miss my Latifah.

13. As it turns out Angela wasn't Guy's owner

I noticed he was miserable here and wanted to get out and so he might not be integrated into my cat family. I let him out. He's still around but doesn't want to come in. But I will be sure to keep an eye on things to make sure he's taken care of.
