Has anyone else heard of the pet food manufacturers putting pork in their food
now due to pork selling falling? Our dog just had tests back that look like she has hepatitis and the Vet thinks it may be food related from the test results and what we have told him about her pain bouts which are off and on. He said Instinct canned dog food is one of them.

1. If it is listed on the ingredients I would never buy it..
and if you think they would put it in the food without listing it, you should either buy a better brand or cook yourself..

My dogs and cats have only chicken and turkey. I have never fed them beef, lamb or any other meat.

The cats will occasionally get salmon.

I use Weruva or Merrick food.

2. Federal law is quite clear that all ingredients MUST be listed on the label.
It is 2009. I have NEVER heard of a pet food company using an unlisted protein source in their food, except perhaps back in the 1940's before such laws existed.

If anyone has factual information about pet food contining unlisted major ingredients like pork, they better be speaking up. If it's just a rumor, it needs to stop.

3. Why would you not feed your pets beef, lamb or any other meat?
Do you mean canned dog food or human grade meat?
