and to think I missed not having a dog |
|
Dogs are great and I'd sure like to have one again. It is not a reality for me given my luck with dogs in the past.
I have my three cats still.
The youngest of the three is a Munchkin I adopted over 3 years ago at the local shelter.
She has become a very possessive cat!
She has very recently refined a couple of new skills:
1. She whistles now when very happy (very odd - I thought she had a respiratory infection or a cold or something but no, it is her whistling!).
2. She now growls and lets out almost a bark like sound when anyone comes around the house.
What in the world would I need a dog for if I have a cat that sets off an alert when anyone comes around the house?
Does anyone else have a cat the growls and lets out loud moans like this when people come around where you live.
I've owned cats my entire life and I never had one that exhibited the above behaviors.
Just when I thought I was bound to be dog-less for life, my cat has now taken over this role for our household. :D :D :D

1. My cats usually growl when they hear someone on the porch. |
|
Their ears go up and I hear a low "Rrrrrrr." Not that they'd actually do anything if somebody broke in, but they do growl.
