Hobo, my dear, faithful friend of 18 years died this morning.

This morning, at about 6:30am, Hobo died in his sleep.

He had been valiantly battling kidney disease for the last couple of years, but finally his little body couldn't take it anymore and he passed away.

He was sleeping next to me when he let out a few yelps, which woke me up, and that was it, he was gone.

I am brokenhearted, but I am at least somewhat thankful that he died in his sleep and that we were together when it happened. I miss him so much!

He had a good life, but thanks to him, my life was greatly enhanced. He will forever be in my heart and be part of my soul.

1. Condolences. I lost one of mine, of 18 years, 2 years ago. I just

got a new one, a kitten, that found me. They are wonderful creatures and excellent companions.
I hope you can think of getting another one soon.
There are so many out there that need homes.

Hobo was a very handsome boy. Yes, be glad he was with you at the end and that it happened at home. My Buster had to take that "last ride" to the vet on 7/31 with my son because I had to work. I'd give anything to have him back just one more day.

Hobo was one cute and adorable kitty. I know the pain of loss as recently as losing two of my beloved kitties last June within days of each other and it never gets any easier. Their time on this earth is so short and we can only treasure each day that we have with them. That is the gift that they give to us each and every day. I wish you peace in the days ahead as you grieve over losing Hobo.
