I am just sick to my stomach! Two weeks ago, my Springer's right eye became irritated and the third lid covered his whole eye and was really red. A couple days later the other one did the same. My Vet was out of town and a sub, newly graduated Vet, treated him for some sort of eye irritation. I had mentioned to her I wondered if he had a bad tooth and she said "that was something I was going to mention as a possibility". She said I should make an appointment to have it pulled. I was not sure which tooth it would be but the morning of the dental, I told them I thought I saw a cracked tooth in back. Actually mentioned it days before. They pulled a big tooth in back. Eyes got a bit better but not perfect. They inflamed again. My Vet said bring him back, maybe he has an allergy. "I will keep him for three days". Picked him up and his eyes looked a little better but still problematic. Have him home now and I looked in his mouth and I still see the tooth I told them about and it appears to have a crack in it. He was chewing on some ice in the yard my husband said. His eyes are still bad but at least his lids are not covering them totally. He is only steroid drops, antibiotic salve and antibiotics. I am near hysterical! Could it be that they did not take the right tooth out????????????? What do I do. I want to beat the poop out of this Bachman backing Vet. He last told me he may send us to a dog ophthalmologist two hours away or more! I see what looks like a diagonal crack in the tooth. I AM PISSED!
