They are looking at the photographer, maybe the only person they have seen in days.
I remember reading a survival sort-of novel where the author talked about
the aftermath of a big bomb, how one of the threats would be wild dogs,
and how they could shoot them.
I have come to realize, after seeing disaster after disaster, how wrong he was.
Instead they come to you looking for food, water, maybe even a little attention.
Confused perhaps, but certainly not a threat.
I won't forget this one for a while. Things can get bad here, but there are places where they are worse.
