Sometimes good bye is the kindest gesture
Edited on Mon Oct-10-11 04:13 AM by Dover
...........sigh........this hurts me so deeply there is no bottom to it....

Newark, NJ - Those deeply ingrained in the fast moving network of Facebook have already heard the sad news - Gideon, the abused Pit bull discovered in Newark, is gone.

Associated Humane Societies Popcorn Park (AHS) posted the news a few hours ago

Though emergency veterinarians worked round the clock to help Gideon, his injuries were so severe that it was determined that euthanasia was actually the kindest, most humane course of action.

For a dog who had suffered so greatly - in this situation, saying good bye was the right thing to do.

I can't even fathom how damaged a human being would have to be to do this to another living thing.

1. this is very sad yes
However, what irks me is when you try to do something about such things (and you even know WHO did it) good damn luck finding anyone to do anything at all about it.

May my poor dog Molly who was abused before I got her and I had to have her put down be resting is peace along with all of the other dogs and animals that deserved love, not abuse in this world.

Man is most certainly not the best friend of one too many "pets" in this world.

Those that use dogs and cats for their own well being and sheer greed deserve to rot in hell being nothing seems to happen to them (ref: Michael Vick). :puke:

2. I absolutely agree
I wouldn't mind seeing the death penalty for animal abusers, and I am absolutely serious. These "people" are a total waste of oxygen. And if my feelings on this make me less acceptable as a liberal, so be it. It's what I feel.

3. I feel the same way
After what I went through I have been called "vindictive".

Vindictive my ass!

As my late father used to say, "Don't get mad, get even!" He was so very right!

This is not enough however as these "breeders" as they call themselves are STILL IN GOD DAMN BUSINESS and should be in jail! A person that debarks a dog, tattoos a dog, never pets it nor properly cares for it, so as to be certain that the animal never knows what a toy is is guilty guilty guilty as all hell. To allow such a harmed animal inflicted with such horrid pain to live on and continue to be bred is a sin in my book!

I'm with you there. It is not a "liberal" value to be greatly offended/disgusted by the likes of Michael Vick.
