Foster cat, Gizmo the Magnificent, has been here for 1 week and
still getting the cold shoulder from my 3 cats, although he gets along fine with the dog (terrier).

2. Give it time...
cats can take a very long time to warm up to one another. I have my newest cat, Abby a little more than a year and it has taken almost a year for Sammy and Abby to "warm" up to each other. One week is hardly enough time to expect anything to happen. On a positive note, at least they are not fighting with the new kitty. Good luck with Gizmo - he's absolutely adorable.

Shoot. I wish mine would give a cold shoulder instead of constantly fighting...
ETA: oh and it's been over 6 years...

6. I adopted a young boy cat nearly a year ago
And my 11 yr old girl kitty still doesn't like him. She wants me to trade him in for some new toys and a case of Fancy Feast.
