Michigan.. Birds need good home |
|
I am leaving for grad school in August and I can not take my birds with me. I have been dreading this. I am looking for stable and loving homes for my Timneh and Blue Crown Conures.
IM me if you are interested in learning more.
My birds are healthy and happy.

I found a fantastic home for my Timneh. Thanks for offering!
This makes it easier to let her go. I got her when she was 4 months old and she would snuggle in my shirt after eating. She has grown into an independent and outgoing bird.
Maybe it would help re finding them homes, if I posted pics of my BCC's in cat suits in this forum... :silly:

3. Go to YahooGroups.com. |
|
You will have to register with them. Put in a search for pet or bird rescue groups in your area. I don't think you will have a problem finding homes for your birds.

I have called 2 rescue groups in MI and have not had any response. A group I did call asked for a large sum of $$.
I would appreciate any specific info you might have.

You are too far from here, but I'd try anyway... Pittsburgh Parrot Rescue.

I will check it out. I am not willing to fly the birds so these organizations/homes so I have focused only on those in a 3 hour radius from where I live which narrowed the options.
I am hoping to find good homes by networking myself. I want some assurance of where they were homed. Not that rescues don't have standards of placement, but as long as I have the time I'd prefer to act as the placing party if you will.
I love these birds, care for them in a very responsible way and planning to identify a similar environment for them.
I took responsibility for them when I got them and don't plan to shirk it now.
I appreciate the information you have provided!
