Foster Dog may be adopted this week
Got an e-mail from a family interested in Abeline. They were going to be at the ASPCA adoption event yesterday. But the prospective family just came to drop off their application and to meet Abeline.

They really like Abeline and are serious about adopting her. So with any luck the adoption application will be approved in a couple of days and Abeline will have a new home.

The adoption event went well - lots of serious interest and about 20 applications were handed out.

1. Abeline - Any chance you are in Texas?

Congratulations on placing Abeline!

I've only 'fostered' one dog. I took him in last August with the intention of placing him within a few weeks. He was found as a stray, starving and with an impressive case of ringworm. I took him in after his ringworm treatment so he would have a chance to gain a few pounds and settled into indoor living. He is currently sleeping on the dogbed just across from my desk - so, I can't foster any more dogs. There is not enough room on the bed at night as it is right now!

2. I hope it works out
If they are a suitable family. Glad your event had a good turnout. Incidentally, what is the longest amount of time you have kept a foster dog?

5. Abeline goes to new home on Thursday
got a call last night - Abeline has been adopted - she will go to her new home Thursday night.

and that's it for fostering for us until October -- starting next week we are having non-stop company coming in "waves". Friends from CA are arriving and staying for undetermined length of time, followed by or coinciding with my partner's family, after that there's other friends from NC, and then my family will be here for a few days

House would be too crazy and not fair to take in another foster dog during this time period...
