jesse has begun peeing in my sink?

i first noticed him doing it about a week or so ago, and he's been doing it pretty much everytime i'm in there... whether i'm brushing my teeth, doing something at the sink or whatever, he'll climb in there, sit down on the drain, and just tinkle away.

i have to admit, it doesn't bother NEARLY as bad as the few accidents he's had on my bedspread (i hope they were accidents)... but still, not sure what to make of it.

i don't want to come home one day and find more in there than cat pee.

just think it's odd he's associated water going down the drain with pee...

too bad he and nikko both can't be trained to go there ALL the time so my litter would last a little longer.

kinda cute... kinda strange... intriguing still.

I have never heard of a cat peeing in the sink.

I HAVE heard of toilet training your cat.
It does involve some time and effort, and your cat sitting on your toilet seat.

2. Better the sink -

Than the fucking couch, like I just found at MY house an hour or so ago.

I had a bed pillow on it - soaked the pillow all the way through into the couch. :mad:

3. oh, trust me

i know your pain... my little one has had a few accidents on my bed...

the last one about a week ago, as i was turning off my light to go to bed after an exhausting day, only to have him pee on my new spread, go through to the sheet and mattress and on my leg.

so i KNOW your pain.

5. Weird, yes. I once had a cat who would poop in the bathtub

if his litter box was dirty. Kinda gross, but easily cleaned up, and certainly a better place than anyplace else in the house.

6. its not a bad thing. keep some bleach/water mix handy to pour on

it. My dachshund pippin likes to hop in the bathtub and lick it. I could crawl out of my skin when he does that, the little wanker.

8. If you don't want him to do it, you

might put a litter box in the bathroom for a while and put on the box whenever it looks like he is about to pee. Then move the box out of the room after he has stopped trying to use the sink.

I would be concerned about peeing in the sink (1) because of the odor, (2) because I want him to pee in only one location, the litterbox - and not get creative about using other sinks/locations in the house - and (3) because he might do it when a guest is over and completely gross them out.
